Yiannis has studied Economics (BSc, First Class) at the National University of Athens and Management Science (MSc/DIC) at Imperial College, London.
He has worked for prominent FMCG multinationals (Unilever, International Distillers & Vinters / METAXA, SC Johnson, Bacardi) in a wide variety of senior executive roles in Sales / Commercial at Country level and he has been exposed in international projects and assignments of regional character.
From the 26+ years of his executive career in multinationals, 18 are on the Board of Directors.
Yiannis has high expertise in Commercial Development (Strategy and Execution), Customer Marketing, Key Account Management, Advanced Negotiations, Revenue Growth Management, High Performing Teams, Organizational Development and Restructure. He has been highly exposed to business Transformation and Matrix organizational structures.
Currently he expands his interests to SMEs, Innovation and Entrepreneurship through the creation and development of his own management consulting agency CONSULT2XL.
He also serves as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) in Athanassiou SA, one of the most historical Greek family companies, a 3rd generation leading distributor in tobacco and FMCG.
His role in mentoring and writing for Imperial College Business School and in various community mentorship programs, as well as his active engagement in LIFE-IP AdaptInGR, the most important and emblematic initiative for adapting Greece to climate change, indicate his commitment to giving back and sharing his knowledge and experience with others.
